NexPhase Capital, LP (“NexPhase” or the “Firm”), an operationally-focused, independent private equity firm, today announced the appointment of Shahryar Shaghaghi as an Executive Advisor focusing on cybersecurity, data privacy, and IT infrastructure management. In this role, Mr. Shaghaghi will provide strategic and operating support to NexPhase’s portfolio companies across all sectors. Mr. Shaghaghi’s appointment is effective immediately.
An experienced technology and risk management executive with a track record of success in relevant leadership positions, Mr. Shaghaghi joins NexPhase as a member of the Firm’s Executive Advisory Board. NexPhase’s Executive Advisory Board, which is comprised of distinguished veterans of the business and financial community across the consumer, healthcare, and software sectors, provides counsel to the Firm on its investment strategy and support to NexPhase’s portfolio companies, which NexPhase believes adds meaningful value and promotes growth beyond what such companies could achieve on their own.

He has also been a lecturer with Columbia University’s School of Professional Studies for more than 4 years, and currently a Professor of Practice focusing on Technology Risk Management and related courses.
By leveraging his extensive cybersecurity, technology, and risk management implementation and leadership experience garnered from his tenure with major global consulting, financial services, and government entities, Mr. Shaghaghi has successfully helped many organizations achieve their goals and optimize their critical and strategic programs while managing and mitigating risks.
